Described as a ‘next generation’ care home, Kitwood house has state-of-the-art facilities for residents to enjoy. This includes optional 24-hour room dining as well as; interactive areas with shops, a laundrette, bus stop and bars, outdoor gardens and summer house, hair salon and Rempod railway carriage.
Every day consists of fun and engaging activities for residents to participate in. The dedicated programme includes person-centred activities such as professional entertainment, interactive games, parties, singing and dancing, arts and crafts, film nights, and Tovertafel magic table.
Inside Kitwood is a homely and warming atmosphere. Every resident receives their own bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, profiling bed, and a flat-screen TV. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their own small furnishings and ornaments.
We supplied our Solo® Profiling Bed in a bespoke Urban Oyster Oak. Choosing a bespoke wood colour allows the team to perfectly match the existing decor in each bedroom. The Solo has ultra-low floor height of 11cm, ideal for the residents living with Dementia at the home. Our Impulse Hybrid Mattress delivers advanced pressure relief and can be used as a step-up/ step-down mattress. The Impulse is a suitable choice of mattress for varying pressure care needs and provides a comfortable yet support base for residents.
